SAMPLE - 7 DAY ITINERARYDAY 1 - Leave for tour at the temples Afternoon - we will continue our visits by Terrace of the Elephant, Terrace of Leper king, Preah Pithu Group and then we are walking on the top of wall from East Gate to victory Gate of Angkor Thom. Evening - watch sunset at Phnom Bakheng temple, with spectacular views over Angkor area. Overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap. Noon - Break for lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon - we will visit Angkor Wat dedicated to visit the most famous & magnificent Angkor Vat temple. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. With many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water, carved low-relief’s about Ramayana Story and day-to-day life at the time of Angkor ’s construction. Afternoon - we will visit theRoluos Group is a collection of monuments representing the remains of Hariharalaya, the first major capital of the Angkorian-era Khmer Empire. It has become known as the ‘Roluos Group’ due to its proximity to the modern town of Roluos . The ancient capital was named for Hari-Hara, a synthesis of the Hindu gods Shiva and Vishnu. DAY 4 - visit the Banteay Srei / Kbal Spean Resort Kbal Spean commonly known as the valley of a 1000 Lingas, Kbal Spean: is set deep in the jungle to the north east of Angkor . A 45 minute steep walk takes you to the river and waterfalls where hundreds of phalluses are carved on the riverbed. The waterfall here is best seen at the end of the rainy season. At the top of the falls are numerous carved figures and animals this site has only been opened up to tourism since 1998 and is less crowded than the nearby Phnom Koulen. This Hindu Pilgrimage site predates Angkor Wat by some 200 years; making it one the most ancient sites in the region. Noon - Break for lunch in a local restaurant called Borei Sovann. Afternoon - we will visit Mine Museum and a local village on the way back. . At the end of afternoon, we watch sunset at Pre Rup temple, with spectacular views over Angkor area. Evening - Overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap. DAY 5 - Siem Reap - Adventure at Kulen Mountain Evening - Overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap. DAY 6 - Siem Reap - Beng Mealea / Koh ker the first stop on this trip is the remote temple Beng Mealea locates as the extremity of the kulen mountain range which is still overgrowing by trees, and the blueprint of Angkor Wat .Even though the CMAC (Cambodian Mine Action Center) has removed landmine many times is this area but you are suggested to not step off the trail when touring. After Beng Mealea , we will continue to see the quarry O’thmordap next to Beng Mealea temple , where all stones are believed from this area were used to build the temples through out the country of Cambodia . The drive takes another an hour to proceed to Koh Ker. Koh Ker is one of the main temple complexes lost to the jungle for many years and only recently opened up to a few hardy adventurers is the former tenth century capital of Koh Ker (also known as Chok Gargyar - 'Island of Glory'), located in barren hill country some 85 kilometres (53 miles) northeast of Angkor, in the province of Preah Vihear. It was home to Jayavarman IV, the maternal uncle of the two previous kings and a great feudal landholder, who ascended the throne in 928. In only a few years, he'd built many colossal sanctuaries dedicated to Shiva, ruling over large numbers of people and in considerable splendour for twenty years until succeeded by his son Harshavarman I. The capital was moved back to Angkor in 944. There is a separate entrance fee of Koh Ker and includes Beng Mealea $ 15 per person. After the temples you would be appreciated of seeing how the villagers of this remote area make a living and share the fortune of the country .most of the villagers work on the farms, they grow like peanuts, cassavas, bananas and etc. you will be back to your hotel around 6.00 PM. Afternoon - we will visit the construction of Cambodian Cultural Village (CCV) started in mid year of 2001, opened to the public in September 24, 2003, with total area of 210,000 meter-square, CCV assembles all the miniatures of famous historical buildings and structures, local customs and practices of all races. There are 11 unique villages, which represent different culture heritages and characteristics of 19 multi races. At each village, the tourists will be able to enjoy the excellent wood houses, carving, and soft skill in stone, traditional performances in the different style such as: Apsara Dancing, performance of ethnic minorities from Northeast of Cambodia, traditional wedding ceremony, Circus, Popular games, Peacock dancing, Acrobat, elephant’s shows, boxing, and more...
